About the event
Sessions will consist of:
Session 1 (7th March) - Getting to know your sewing machine, taking you through the basics of setting up and working a sewing machine. You will practice setting up your machine and using different stitches and feet, finishing off by making a small tote bag with button closure.
Session 2 (14th March) - In this session we will further explore the uses of our sewing machines to practice what was learnt in the first session and to add to it. We will look at how to make a pair of tab top curtains and finish off by making an envelope cushion cover with optional piping.
Session 3 (21st March) - In this session we will look at dressmaking and how we can use the machine skills we have learnt to make items of clothing. I will go through how to use patterns, the markings on patterns…
